Welcome to this week's Games Update, our weekly summary featuring all new product arrivals from the last seven days. Like last week, this week has been rather busy with a number of hot original Japanese titles and localized ones hitting the market.
The most prominent title is
Persona, the first installment in the Shin Megami Tensei series. The challenging gameplay remains, but with a difficulty level that you can adjust, this installment can be less of a frustration. Coming with new graphics and a music in its soundtrack, the journey toward understanding oneself becomes even more poignant.
Naruto's path towards true Ninja-hood continues with
Shinobi Retsuden 3. Once again, he came across Sasuke and the Asatsuki organization and red hot battle ensues. Other than other ninjas, he has to battle the legendary "tailed" beasts as well as original ones, come join the game and see how your trainging efforts are paying off.
Goku has grown up into a young man in
Story Saiyajin Raishuu and is ready for a face off with the Sayans led by Vegeta as well as participating in the world martial arts championship.
Seeing Goku grow up again is a pleasantly nostalgic experience for the series' old time fans and a fresh, exciting and comical journey for the new ones.
Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 is strategy linked with hack and slash, slip into the mobile suit of your choice and you are ready to ride off to battle. Besides the existing suits in the series, original creations such as Psycho Gundam make their appearances as well. Koei's famous Musou Gundam 2 is localized for English speaking gamers, come engage in the action!
Make your own games with
Made in Ore / WarioWare Myself. After deciding what you want to create, start off by drawing the graphics and deciding on the music needed with your stylus and set the rules. Play a few times to test it and put it online to share with friends and family members.
Assimilate your fleet and take them to the seas through
Daikoukai Jidai Online: Cruz del Sur discover unchartered lands, adventure in the wild jungles, golden deserts and meet the locals. Meet like-minded sailors on the net via the network function of your console.
Tir Na Nog the orthodox fantasy RPG takes you back to the medieval times with heroes, princesses, witches and elves. Depending the steps you take on your journey, the game will generate story events accordingly. Decide who you want to proceed your adventure as and off you go.
Last but not least are the romance games.
Tora Dora, the comedic text based adventure is here with its crazy cast of high school students. Play the game as Takasu Ryuuji, the lucky boy who needs decide on, and go after the girl of his dreams amidst all the confusion.
Another lucky boy is Kodama Makoto in
Final Approach 2: 1st Priority who somehow ended up as the fiance of the super idol Ana. Besides being forced into an engagement and live together, the two have to deal with other girls who come to live under their roof.
