Play-Asia is proud to have teamed up with Cheap Ass Gamer to create a fundraiser for Child’s Play Charity, in the form of a raffle starting on the 26th of November.

Child's Play was founded in 2003 by Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik, best known for the online web-comic, Penny Arcade. It aims to provide toys, games, books and money to sick children in hospitals across the world to help bring a smile to their faces, refuting the media stereotype that gamers are uncaring, violent and antisocial. They collect no administrative fees and forward all donations and gifts to the hospitals. Last year, Child’s Play raised $605,000 for children in the USA, Canada and England. This year the charity has been expanded further, supporting hospitals in Egypt and Australia as well.

Until the 19th of December, for a mere $5 donation through PayPal to Cheap Ass Gamer, you will not only support a sick child, but also have a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree at Play-Asia.com, an online entertainment store selling video games, DVDs, Toys and Music. There is no limit to how many donation entries can be made and all donations from the raffle will go directly to Child’s Play to aid their cause.
