Sega Ages 2500 Video Download: See the first 5 releases in motion - another 9 new volumes announced
   
Sega has released the first trailer of their upcoming Sega Ages 2500 series for PlayStation2™. The 3:41 minute video download shows the Phantasy Star, Monaco GP, Fantasy Zone, Space Harrier and Golden Axe remakes in motion. Especially Golden Axe looks very promising to us and we are looking forward to the final release.

The first 3 volumes will be released on August 28th, volume 4 and 5 exactly 4 weeks later on September 25th. Preorders for all 5 volumes are open at US$ 25.90 each only:

  • Sega AGES 2500 Series Vol. 1 Phantasy Star Generation
  • Sega AGES 2500 Series Vol. 2 Monaco GP
  • Sega AGES 2500 Series Vol. 3 Fantasy Zone
  • Sega AGES 2500 Series Vol. 4 Space Harrier
  • Sega AGES 2500 Series Vol. 5 Golden Axe

    Additionally Sega has already announced another nine (!) volumes going to be published under their Ages 2500 label. The next batch will include Virtua Racing (remake of their Model 1 3D racing game), Last Bronx (Model 2 arcade fighting), as well as Phantasy Star 2 & 4 (both Genesis/Mega Drives remakes). Preorders for all new volumes will be opened once a more precise release date has been confirmed.
