The XRGB-3 is a VGA upscan box. It takes an input in the form of S-Video, Component, Composite, Japanese D4 or Japanese RGB, and converts it to VGA for use on a standard computer monitor. Apparently the results are usually higher quality than the game looked in the first place on the TV.

Connect your favorite videogame console (or any other video source) to your monitor with the Magic VGA Box. The Magic VGA Box accepts video signals from any video source through the standard AV port (RCA IN) and the S-Video port. It also has a pass through port for your VGA cable (VGA in & VGA out), so that you don’t need to unplug your PC whenever you are about to use it. This product is recommended for users of TFT monitors, as it supports higher output resolutions.
