Good series ruined by poor transfer
This is a really nice series, I was captivated by the characterization between Pan Da and Xiao Yu, as well as the beautiful music compositions played throughout the series in the music school.

Unfortunately this Hong Kong DVD release was a big let-down from KAM & RONSON Enterprise for a number of reasons.

The most glaring problem is the sound quality. It is very poor! This is most evident from the piano compositions, each high note is very distorted, the dialog is difficult to hear and the audio quality in general is very bad, worse than YouTube quality. It shouldn't be like this, it's a DVD with a Dolby Digital audio track!

Secondly, the video is not anamorphic. This results in worse video quality than anamorphic DVDs because the video is already letterboxed within the video frame. As a result there were black bars on the top AND side of the picture!

Thirdly, the English subtitles were too literal in some scenes, which really took the tension away. This is a minor issue though compared to the first two issues outlined above.

I really hope they will do another release fixing the problems above!
