If Michael Bay made a videogame...
This game is NOT recommended for anyone who is just starting out playing a pokemon game! Even to a seasoned pokemon trainer this game can be considered a slap in the face. The animations a bland, slow, repetitive and unskippable. The pokemon models are about as amazing as any game from the N64 generation. The trainers look like they came directly from one of those "how to draw manga" books written by an American. Overall there is a disappointing unfinished quality about this game that could have benefit from a couple year's more work.

But there are some nice things that will reward the HARDCORE pokemon trainer. I must totally emphasise words I write in capital letters here, because I stress this game is NOT for anyone less than the hardcore. Firstly, there are items and berries you can not collect so easily in the DS/GBA games. Secondly, fighting random opponents over your wi-fi connection with your own pokemon is very fun and interesting. Lastly, the AI can get very challenging at the higher levels, even more so than the battle towers in the DS games. The final double-battles have some incredible lateral thinking which show that these developers really know what they're doing.

If you're patient enough, this game can be rewarding, otherwise I wish they hadn't rushed the game to be released too early, especially due before the release of Platinum and the addition of other pokemon "forme"s.

50 bucks for GBS..
So, Diamond and Pearl had a GTS system to trade with anyone you want around the world, but where is the GBS system to battle anyone around the world? What is that? It\'s not a part of D&P, wait...A seperate game for the Wii that I have to pay 50 dollars for?! Wow, wow, not only that but you say the attack animations are absolutely bland but that the wiimote is completely worthless to the gameplay? Huh? The game even has a seperate friend code? What the heck is the point of my Wii having one then? This is stupid, I\'m going to go buy something better with my money, if I was reviewing this game I\'d be giving it a 1.
