Improvements over originals
This version has several improvements over the originals, I think the biggest improvement is that the monsters can hold items now; in that way it is possible to transfer items to a different cartridge. There are some cool new items too like a thing that lets you battle outdoor trainers multiple times, and something that can get you twice the money when you win a battle. There are also berries, and through them there is a method to get an unlimited amount of PP UPs, one of the most crucial items in the game. Also in the beginning of the game you receive some running shoes which greatly decreases some frustration associated with this game. And finally you can breed pokemon in this game, if you\'re into that kind of thing. But by the way, there were some methods of cheating in the original games that have been eliminated for these remakes.

The Pokemon Revolution Continues
After a long haul, Pokemon continues to remain on top of the handheld gaming craze. With each version there are imporvements, and FR/LG are no exception. Returning to the roots in Kanto and having you battle the original 8 again will bring back fond memories for both active and retired trainers. Graphics have reached a point beyond words. Using a display similar to Ruby and Sapphire, FR and LG\'s interface has simplicity at hand. Deja vu may be what you think you\'ll get, but be prepared to be knocked out of your seat. New attacks on old pokemon, new pokemon fighting against yours, trainers who you thought were easy to beat come back with force. Wireless gaming has been added. Battle with people without even seeing them. Trade with strangers. The union room is not only for Pkmn battles and trades but a chatroom. Add in the compatibilty with both Pokemon Box, Pokemon Colosseum and Ruby/Sapphire, and you\'ve got enough features to drool over. Dust off those old Pokeballs trainers, Pokemon is back, and here to stay.
