The Pokemon Company has recently shared the latest information, video, and some screenshots of the upcoming Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon titles. It has just been confirmed that the demo will be released on October 18. They also have the video that shows all three starter Pokemon's and their evolutions, in addition to a ton of new features.

The Pokemon above to the left is Dartrix, the evolution of the new Grass starter pokemon, Rowlet. This Grass/Flying Pokemon is extremely sensitive to other presences around it and can strike them without seeing them by using the sharp-bladed feathers inside its wings. Dartrix is usually concerned with its appearance, so it'll always groom its feathers whenever it can.

The Pokemon to the right of Dartrix is Torracat, the evolution of Litten. This Fire-type Pokemon has a bell-like object attached to its neck that is actually a flame sac. This organ produces the flames that Torracat uses. When the organ spits flames, it rings with a high, clear sound of a bell. Torracat is a ferocious Pokemon that loves battles and fights.

The Water type Pokemon on the left is Brionne, which is evolved from Popplio. A Pop Star-type Pokemon, Brionne uses its dancing skills to mesmerize its enemies, leaving them confused and in disarray. Brionne is usually very happy and cheerful, never letting others see it when its sad unless it trusts the other Pokemon or trainer.

The Pokemon to the right of Brionne is Ash-Greninja, a powered-up version of Greninja thanks to the strength of its bond with Ash. Greninja can turn to this form due to a new miraculous occurrence called the bond phenomenon. The Battle Bond ability allows a Greninja that has caused an opponent's Pokemon to faint to morph into Ash-Greninja. Once the battle is completely over, it will revert back to Greninja. Ash-Greninja boasts powerful leg strength, which has been enhanced from a regular Greninja, making it more at such speeds that its difficult to follow it. Ash-Greninja can also make gian Shurikens on its back and throw them in rapid succession.

A new version of Pokemon Global Link will also be updated and reopened on Friday, November 18th, in sync with the launch of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. With the release of the two new games, The Pokemon Global Link will end is current serviice for Pokemon Omega Ruby, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Pokemon X, and Pokemon Y. It will then be updated to work with Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon! The new functions they plan on implementing will let users enjoy Pokemon battles even more!

Some features include the fact taht you can now register Pokemon that you often use into Battle Teams, which can contain anywhere from one to six Pokemons. The same Pokemon can be registered to several battle teams as the same time. This feature will also include a thing called QR Rental Teams, where players can publicly share their own teams and use Battle Teams designed by other players. You can take part in Link Battles and even Rating Battles using a Battle Team.

Rating Battles are where trainers around the world battle with their favored Pokemon to see who's the best of the best. After joining the Pokemon Global Link and registering your game, you can use the website. In addition to the three existing sets of battle rules for Rating Battles, they've included a fourth for the Championships Battle Format.
  • Single - Trainers send Pokemon into battle one at a time
  • Double - Trainers send Pokemon into battle two at a time
  • Special - Each season, a set of special rules takes effect.
The new fourth set of rules allows trainers to play year-round using the official rules set for the Pokemon World Championships, which is the competition held every year to decide the world's strongest Pokemon Trainers. The main points of the rules for Pokemon WCS 2017 are:
  • Double Battle Format is limited to Pokemon that appear in the Alola Region Pokedex (excluding some Legendary and Mythical Pokemon)
  • Use of Mega Stones is not allowed
  • Only Pokemon that can be obtained in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon may be entered

A select number of Pokemon were able to Mega Evolve in Pokemon Omega Ruby, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Pokemon X, and Pokemon Y. As long as you have the proper Mega stone, any of these Pokemon caught in the Alola Region will still be able to Mega Evolve!

The demo will be available on the Nintendo eShop beginning October 18 for both Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon.

Another new feature of the game is known as Poke Pelago, which is a a place where Pokemon that have been put into boxes can enjoy. Poke Pelago consists of a variety of isles where Pokemon can go to explore, play on athletic equipment, or enjoy other fun activities. If you send a lot of Pokemon to Poke Pelago, you can slowly develop the facilities there and even develop new kinds of isles. Through this, you can slowly obtain items or even raise your Pokemon.

There will also be new communication features in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon! One is called Festival Plaza, where Pokemon trainers from around the world can meet and mingle! As you progress, through your adventure, you can use Festival Plaza, where you can welcome other people and take requests to keep things hopping.

The game looks like it's going to be really awesome for Pokemon lovers, especially if you like talking and hanging out with other enthusiasts. Watch teh video below to see some of the footage from the game!
