Err... ?
- Great setlist

- Interesting way to play all the instruments, but not fully satisfying.

- The menu system, and overall "layout", is horrible compared to its console counterparts (obviously) as well as Guitar Hero

- Perfect use of the DS' buttons

The songs on this game somehow just fit together. Being that I only listen to extreme metal, avant-garde music of any genre or stick t one album/Artist for months on end - I had no idea what to expect.

But not only did this game open me up to some sweet music, it also managed to blend various genres in a way that felt right (in comparison, the Guitar Hero games have to stick w/ one type of music per game; when they mix things up the odd songs feel out-of-place).

However, there are two reasons why I can't give this game all of my love :P :

1. I don't know if it's the menu system, the design of the campaign (NO TOURS? NO STARS? NOT SAVING ANY STATS SO I CAN REVIEW LATER? T_T) or me not having understood the premises of the tour mode, but I'm stuck. First two "song packs" available only, without any explanation of what I have to do to progress onto the next stages.

2. My fingers hurt from playing it. It takes some dedication. Which is good. Musical games should be challenging (with balance) and especially on a handheld :D

So it feels that I haven't tried the whole product yet. My first IMPRESSION of it is that it delivers what I expect of it, but suffers from serious design flaw which a) puts me off a bit b) hinders me from continuing to explore the rest of it XD

rockband 3 ds
rockband 3 ds is the successor to lego rockband ds.

it has great songs, even including queen's bohemian rhapsody!

and it is more challenging than predecessor.

but little noisy sound and confusing gameplay are disapointing.

nevertheless it is great music game for nintendo ds.
