Fun, but hard Mega Man game
It took me forever to find a way to play Mega Man & Bass for Super Nintendo (the Gameboy Advance version doesn't really count).

The gameplay is like any other Mega Man game but with a different stage select screen where you can only select certain bosses after beating another one. It's really weird. The stages are pretty large and can scroll vertically and horizontally which most Mega Man games are just horizontal and basic screen shifting when you reach the edge of a screen. Some bosses in this game are also in Mega Man 8 like Astro Man and Tengu Man. The bosses are a lot more challenging in this game than all the others. After beating the 8 master robots, you goto this room like the boss rooms in Dr. Wily's Castle in the classic Mega Man games, but just use the boss powers to trigger the 8 switches which open up King's castle which is pretty difficult. I have never beaten the castle, so I don't know what Dr. Wily's castle is like. Also, a lot of the stages really seem to play against you and seem unnecessarily hard like Burner Man's stage.

The music and sounds were OK. None of the stage music made me feel like I was playing a Mega Man game, especially Magic Man's stage. The sounds were mostly the same as in Mega Man 7 & 8.

The graphics are the same as in Mega Man 8 (not 7). The stages and characters are all very colorful and pretty appealing to look at.

The controls were a little annoying for me. While playing as Mega Man, I just think he is too slow and it makes me want to play the Nintendo versions because he moves quicker. Mega Man can charge and slide. Bass just makes me wish I was playing Mega Man X games. Bass can dash and have rapid fire in 6 directions, but, deals 1/2 damage and cannot charge, which is why I just want to play Mega Man X instead.

The difficulty is pretty high compared to other Mega Man games. It is not the same difficulty as in Mega Man 9 and 10 for Wii, but just that pain in the butt kind of difficulty which generally kills games in their fun factor.

For a Mega Man fan value, I'd say get it. Other than that, if you are looking for a very hard platformer, this game is for you. If you are a Mega Man fan who likes to see successful Mega Man games, I wouldn't really get this game. I only got it because I am a hardcore Mega Man fan and am trying to get every classic Mega Man game I can find.

Bottom-line, not one of Mega Man's best, but not as bad as Mega Man 8 for Playstation...
