SW4 Empires: Great but not Perfect
Overall a great game. The focus on building the relationship between officers is a cool addition, and the Genesis mode offers plenty of replayability to the campaigns. Combat is the same as SW4 so if you enjoyed it, you will enjoy this game. It has a different feel than Dynasty Warriors Empires making it unique in how it feels even though it's the same genre and style.

A few minor complaints brings the rating down from a 5. Relations are a pain to develop and with the limit of 1 budding relation per officer as well the necessity for battle to develop them, it can take awhile for them to go the way you want. Furthermore enemies can level up officers outside of battle but you're not able to effectively, meaning that the game snowballs in the enemies favour if you leave them to build up for far too long. While being enjoyable, these two issues proved to be pretty annoying at times.
