Pretty good system
This system is fairly colorful compared to the black versions. The system is mostly white with some differently colored spots. The RAM slot, power, and reset buttons are gray, and the OPEN button is red. The controller is very colorful. The system does stand out over all my other game systems even though it is kind of tucked away in the corner of my entertainment center.

As for the library of games, most of them are good. But, a lot of the games that are amazing are available on the American version of the system. Some of the Japanese only titles may not be the greatest I have played, but I may just be getting the wrong games. I also found that some of the games that were released only in Japan were from series that failed in the United States or were 18+ only games. Adult games are rarely released in the U.S. Some of them are good, some are just weird or for people looking for a playable dating sim game. I tend to play a lot of puzzle, action, and racing games. I also like most party games.

One game to get for SEGA Saturn would be NiGHTS. It is probably the most memorable game on the SEGA Saturn. Most who have the Saturn have NiGHTS. There was also a Mega Man game released for SEGA Saturn. I believe it is a version of Mega Man 8. Being a Mega Man fan, I will most likely get it. Sonic 3D Blast is much better graphically on the Saturn than the Genesis version. I also think I saw Akumanjo Dracula for the Saturn. If it is anything like the Nintendo games, I would say check it out.

The controller is basically a SEGA Genesis controller with 6 buttons. It's fairly easy to use and comfortable to hold on to.

The graphics and sound, to me anyway, seem to be ahead of their time.

The bottom-line is that this is quite a good game system. Most of the titles for this system are available on the U.S. version. Pick the Japanese one up if you would like to try out some of the non-released games.

My second saturn vs my first
After a lot of patience, I received my second saturn. My first saturn is still working, but the cartridge slot is pretty much non-working at least for my original save/memory cards. It was actually a risk, when I bought myself a second system. As it is a pity that they don't right any conditions on the website regarding their "pre-owned"-products.
When I opened the box, I saw that the system is not really white anymore, but more yellowish. The pre-owner must have put it somewhere exposed to much light, I guess. Except for making a strange sound while booting a game the system looks ok. The main important thing for me was that the cartridge slot works for my carts. Well I tried it and I am a bit dissappointed. The slot does work, but it is just like it was in the past. I have to try several times, before it works :-s. I really wished Sega made a better cartridge slot for the system.
Overall: The system that I got is not pretty and the price of US$ 59.90 is a little bit to high to be honest. But as long as the cartridge slot keeps working, I will be satisfied.
