Fabbo.
Capcom's answer to KOEI's cash cow Musou fighters got a look in a few years back when released in the west as Devil King's. This sequel, easily the better game, remained in japan. Go figure. Anyhoo, whilst the
Sengoku Basara series has been favored by some as a superior version of the Shin Sangoku Musou series, I personally love them both. And If you liked the 3rd game Basara game that made an appearance on the Wii or PS3, this previous entry is definitely worth a look-in.

Great game but not without flaws
Sengoku Basara 2 is a marked improvement over the previous installment. Unification mode returns with some minor tweaks, but the game also has a story mode with entertaining, over-the-top tales for 21 of the characters, and a one hundred round survival mode.
These additions as well as some minor gameplay tweaks such as a beserk mode that can be activated after every 100 kills help the game to stand well above it's predecessor. However while the game boasts a vastly increased stage count around two thirds of these are only accessible in story mode, where unfortunately the loot is significantly worse than unification mode. In other words if you want to max out your characters you'll be seeing the same twenty-ish stages over and over again. Moreover while each character boasts between 7-9 special abilities only two can be equipped for each stage, giving you only 3 real options in combat most of the time.
It's certainly not perfect but for those who felt that the primary problem with the first game was a lack of content, rather than the repetitive gameplay it's definitely worth getting

Great action game!
Sengoku Basara 2 is a very good hack'n slash Dynasty Warriors-like game, with good-looking graphics!

Incredible Hack n' Slash game!
The fact that Capcom hasn't released this outside of Japan is a crime! (although easy to see, thanks to Devil Kings...).
The character designs are great, and the movesets are even greater! You'll be hard pressed to find a character you absolutely hate using (personally, I don't like using Zabii, Mitsuhide, or Yoshihiro, but even then, they get better as you progress).
With all the story modes, costumes, weapons (each character has 8 of them), items and whatnot, this game will keep you in gaming ecstasy for dozens, even HUNDREDS of hours.
If you like hack n slash games, Koei's 'Warriors' series, or had fun with Devil Kings, there is no way you should pass up this great piece of software.
Bravo, Capcom!
