description

Control meets chaos when a SEAL team confronts a no-win situation. Thrown into an international catastrophe, the Ops Commander, Cullen Gray, attacks with expertise and tenacity. With only six days, the OpsCom must lead his team to capture a militant revolutionary aimed at destroying the world’s most vital waterway and disrupting the global economy.

The OpsCom leads a multinational force comprised of First Lieutenant Park Yoon-Hee (call-sign "45"), a South Korean covert operations specialist; Chief Petty Officer Dion Wells; Heavy Weapons Operator Eric Schweitzer; and Chung Kwan, a South Korean reconnaissance operative. The team is assisted by ORACLE, a surviving intelligence analyst aboard a crippled NATO carrier offshore.

Great game, better with Sharp Shooter controller
Having bought this with Killzone 3 I have to admit SOCOM4 is the better of the two. Full support for the Sharp Shooter controller just makes this such a more realistic FPS experience (though my horrible skills let the combo down).

SOCOM4 takes you through the urban jungle terrain encountering a diverse range of situations. Pretty much the same sort of stuff FPS fans come to expect: snipers to locate, fortified areas, vehicles to destroy etc.

I actually found the storyline fairly immersive for me, probably because its more a real world game than a fantasy universe. So the scenarios and sense of urgency come more naturally, leaving the gamer to concentrate on the job at hand.

The graphics and surround sound really work well and the level design work just flows nicely without feeling forced.

Highly recommended for any FPS fan, and adding the Sharp Shooter & Move controllers really lifts this game!

forget about COD and Battlefiled BC2...
it's better !.
the responsiveness and picture is way more realistic.
COD BC is a toy movie compared, i liked COD BC for the maps but not for the gameplay style, socom is way more realistic, more than BC2 even.
only thing i don't like is the lack of ping measurement nor world zone selection, but ping seems to be ok never the less...
fun fun fun.

It's pretty good!
Not too bad, recently purchased it and played with sharpshooter. I really like the dynamics, for the price it's a solid buy.
