super dual box pro works on linux out of the box.
i used it with a cobalt flux and it Just Worked on debian sid, no axis problems, no dance code.
This is a fantastic adapter for your PSX/PS2 controllers. The setup utility works nicely, and makes it easy to map the pressure sensitive buttons (2 at a time). I have used this controller with PCSX2 (PS2 emulator) and it works beautifully. Highly recommended!
I fussed with the EMS Dualshooter for a few months before finally getting this one, and I'm so happy I did. Everything about this little box is perfect. It's wonderfully compatible on Win7 x64, and I've used it with PCSX2, Dolphin, ZSNES, PJ64, Fusion, and others with perfect results every time (Haven't tried it with exotic controllers though). Linux compatibility is a plus too. The two controller inputs don't conflict with each other like the Dualshooter seems to do. Oh, and with the Mayflash drivers installed, the force feedback even works too! I didn't even know my controller had a rumble feature until now
If you have Dualshock or Dualshock 2 laying around and want to use them for computer, it is obviously a must-have. This works with Windows 7. The package includes installation mini-cd (just install the Vista one for Windows 7, it works). Installation and setup are very easy.
The special thing about this converter is that it allows for two pressure sensitive buttons (Dualshock 2 controller has 8 pressure sensitive buttons in total). And you can set which buttons you want the adapter to read the pressure from. Although some might feel that having only two buttons pressure-activated out of eight is a disadvantage, it is good enough for me and the games I'm playing. Of course, Dualshock 1 does not support pressure sensitivity at all, so activating the pressure will not have any effect.
Do your own research first about the game you are going to play; that is, whether the gameplay heavily uses more than two pressure sensitive buttons. Then again, adapter that can activate pressure for all buttons is not that easy to find and the price tag is fantastic. With this product's decent price tag, I have to say just go for it.
I got this with the specific intention of using it for a metal DDR pad with Stepmania.
It worked perfectly!
The bundled software was simple to install and allowed for switching into "Dancepad" mode without the use of a button based 'code' like some other USB converters.
It also handles a standard controller perfectly for use with emulators or any other kind of game.
I'm very pleased!
