Rayforce. TATE. Enough said for shooter fans!
This disc contains the one and only perfect port of Rayforce available on consoles (nope, the otherwise great Saturn port Layer Section aka Galactic Attack messed up by halving the 1UP score requirement). The "TATE" vertical screen option beloved of any hardcore shooter fan is here in full effect.
I personally bought this disc purely on the strength of this Taito masterpiece alone, but have enjoyed the Toaplan-esque shooter Fighting Hawk as well, along with the excellent Bubble Memories and classic Rainbow Islands. Bottom line, this could've easily been sold as a stand-alone Rayforce port - to me the huge amount of other games is just a lovely bonus, and makes fascinating exploring for any fan of arcade gaming.
