Not as good as Tetris DS, but since that is discontinued, this is your only option brand new.

I love it
I have always hated tetris cause I'm not good. But a bout a year ago I fall love with Tetris and I was so sad cause I couldn't find that version. So when I find out about this one, I was so happy. Now I have played it and it's so amazing.

Your standard tetris fare, plus a bunch of gimmicky modes.
Tetris DS has become a hard title to find these days, so good of Hudson Soft to release a new Tetris for the DS.
First thing you'll notice is that you have to pick an avatar.
You have a choice of either 10 ugly mii imitation avatars, or 5 Hudson Soft related avatars. Will you be Bomberman? Master Higgins? Maybe even Milon?
The standard modes are there, Tetris, 40 lines (known as sprint), a "Master mode", but there's a few gimmicky modes for a bit of variation. To be fair these might hold your interest for a few minutes at best.
There's also the forgotten game of Bombliss, that has existed since the SNES days.
All in all if you're looking for Tetris on your DS, this is a good choice. Even better if you don't want to be overloaded with Nintendo retro themed music or graphics.
