Item Description

The legendary 3-on-3 fighting game series that united rival brawlers from SNK Playmore’s classic arcade franchises celebrates its 15th Anniversary in style with the release of The King of Fighters XII. For the first time in its history, this epic martial arts showdown has undergone a complete graphical overhaul. The antiquated character sprites used over the past 14 years have been dropped in favor of all-new, high-resolution fighters fluidly animating across painstakingly detailed, 100% hand-drawn backgrounds.

The king of Fighters XII
Yes it's been a long time coming ,but is it any good ,well in a one word 'YES' but it's not the best King of Fighters game, mainly because of it's lack of characters and no story mode .The graphics are brilliant and the game play sublime but there's just to little of it.It basically is a time attack version over 5 levels.NOT ENOUGH FOR ME .Online at the moment is poor and the lobbies uninviting.Even though there is a patch coming soon ,check out the official twitter and face-book sites.I'm glad i got it (i bought the Korean version)but here's to the next one which is in the pipeline .Bring on King of Fighters XIII

Outstanding combat left unfinished.
At a basic combat level I found KOFXII to be slicker, more visceral and just way, way more fun than any of its competetors but it suffers from not being finished.
Online is buggy (though fixes are on the way) and the difficulty level seems to make no difference at all but because of the excellent core combat that the game is built on I find myself coming back time and time again.
Against friends it's sublime!

Owner of both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.
First I’m going to say that I love this game. It’s the best 2d fighter that I’ve played this year. But it does need more content; hopefully the DLC will deliver on that front because we need Mai back. Please SNKP, if you are reading this, the fans want her back. It’s been far too long since she was last in a KOF game! Okay, onto the versions. From playing both I can definitely say that the 360 version looks a lot better and the online is NOT broken as the ps3’s versions. So from all the test I did on both versions, the 360 version looks sharper and the colors are more pronounced in this version. So if you have both systems and you care about things like this, go for the 360 version. Also the online, in its current state it’s completely unplayable. But SNK promises that these problems will be addressed soon and they are hard at work to make this game playable online. I hope they do, because the gameplay is awesome.
