The Monthly Top Ten: Nov 1st - Nov 30th!

Every month, Play-Asia.com ships out a lot of products, but a few really stand out. As a new feature, we'd like to share with you which products were the most popular from November 1st to November 30st. Whether released or still in pre-order, perhaps these are the products you might want to add to your personal agent!

For more information on each specific product, find it through the link in the picture!

[10] GODZILLA (PS3/JPN)

Coming out with no prior warning, Bandai Namco's Godzilla took to our charts like a giant radioactive lizard would; stomping out all the other big November releases like Far Cry 4, Pokemon, and Dragon Age: Inquisition - even pushing huge pre-orders like Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMix under retail rubble!

Fans of the iconic Kaiju have been waiting for a game like this - done in complete homage to the tokusatsu style of special effects with a matching graphics based on Toei's 1950s broadcast, the God Lizard finally looks the way he should in video game form.

In terms of content, what makes this game so exciting are all the famous characters to choose from - they even have Jet Jaguar!

[9] DENGEKI BUNKO: FIGHTING CLIMAX (PS3/JPN)

Number 6 on the charts last month, French Bread's Mash Up fighter is still going strong, with more and more people picking this title up.

Celebrating the '20th Anniversary of Dengeki Bunko' French Bread (UNIBELMelty Blood), along with the Sega and ASCII Media Works, the title will include characters from Dengeki Bunko's extensive line of light novels such as Sword Art Online, Shakugan no Shana, and Durarara! going toe-to-toe on stages based on Sega franchises.

As well, exclusive to console versions are a whole lot of extras like new modes, character conversations, unlockable extras like costume colors, themes, and individual illustrations and animations for characters!

[8] DEAD OR ALIVE 5: LAST ROUND [SAIKYOU PACKAGE] (PS4/JPN)

Another title that quickly climbed up our charts is the final and definitive version of Koei Tecmo's infamous and beloved fighter: Dead or Alive 5. Aside from being the series that really put jiggle physics into contemporary video game culture, DoA has always been a solid fighter.

In this version - the Saikyou Package meaning "greatest package of all time" - a bevy of extras come packed in a massive box: a Dead or Alive History Book, the Dead or Alive 5 Original Soundtrack Vol.4, a Marie Rose 3D Oppai Mouse Pad, Sexy Costume Set DLC, a 4 piece Mini Figurine set, 8 exclusive posters, and for the real fans, a Life Size Wall Scroll featuring the ever lovely Kasumi.

Oh, there's a game in there too somewhere :)

[7] SUPER SMASH BROS. FOR WII U GAMECUBE CONTROLLER BUNDLE

When people wax poetic about Smash Brothers, usually 2 specific topics get brought up: 1) how we broke the N64 controller & 2) the Gamecube controller is god tier when it comes to Smash.

Nintendo is fully aware of this, just like how broadcasting Smash for live streams is a good thing, so they've made this bundle available which includes Smash Bros for the Wii U, a Gamecube Controller, and an adaptor that allows connectively with any classic Gamecube Controller or Wavebird.

A great way to pay respects to the millions of fans for this amazing series, this love letter to nostalgia definitely caught the eye of many of our customers.

Now if this adaptor allowed compatibilities with other games...

[6] CONTROLLER ADAPTER FOR WII U + WHITE GC CONTROLLER

...but is isn't unfortunately, but here at Play-Asia.com, we got your back :)

For the sake of meeting the demand of many, we've contacted periperhal makers Mayflash and made an adaptor just for those who just need to use this "perfect" controller for every game.

The Play-Asia.com x Mayflash Adaptor is a GameCube controller adaptor that allows gamers to play any favorite Wii/Wii U games, with as few restrictions as possible.

With next to no input lag, a turbo setting, and compatibility with any game playable with the Wii Classic Controller or Wii Classic Controller Pro, the Mayflash is the best answer for those truly in love with the GameCube controller.

[5] RESIDENT EVIL HD REMASTER (PS3/JPN)

Number 5 once again, but only because the Collector's Edition was sold out momentarily, the Resident Evil HD Remaster is the highest selling game title right now, with orders being made as of this moment.

We've been able to confirm several things about this title, and that's probably why it's doing even better post-release.

1) The Japanese Version also has English and Japanese Voice and Text Options
2) The jacket cover of the game is reversible and features "BIOHAZARD"
3) There are also several language options: French, Italian, Spanish, & German
4) This is the only known physical version
5) The bonuses on disc are a great added value for fans of RE
6) JILL SANDWICH IS EVEN BETTER THIS TIME!

[4] NEW NINTENDO 3DS (WHITE) - (AU/PAL)

When Nintendo announced their newest iteration of their flagship handheld, the world leapt for joy, but quickly got brought down by the dreaded region lock.

At first, it was only announced for Japan, but then at a surprise to everyone, an Australian version appeared, and it played PAL region games at that. With no plans to release a US version this year, and with no certain date for 2015, fans just couldn't wait; the decided to import instead.

Especially when games like Final Fantasy ExplorersMonster Hunter 4GSSBros for the 3DS, and the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles rely or benefit from the New 3DS's particular controls, it's no wonder then why people would be motivated to get one now.

[3] NEW NINTENDO 3DS (METALLIC BLUE) XL - (AU/PAL)

Number 3 is also the New 3DS, but in a different color and the XL version - obviously these are the features that people really want!

  • Plays back PAL 3DS games only
  • Improved stereoscopic 3D than previous devices
  • Backward compatible to Nintendo DS and DSi
  • 4" screens and analog 3D stick and C-Stick,
  • extended battery life, better Wi-Fi support
  • 3D Camera included
  • 3DS uses parallax barrier LCD from Sharp
  • new ZR and ZL shoulder buttons
  • SNES color scheme A, B, X and Y buttons
  • Micro SD card slot for additional data storage

[2] NEW NINTENDO 3DS XL(METALLIC BLACK) - (AU/PAL)

Ok ok ok.

We get it.

These are immensely popular right now.

Without even looking, we're pretty sure that the next item, the number one selling item at Play-Asia.com for the month of November is also an 3DS of some sort.

What do you think?

[1] NINTENDO 3DS XL (PIKACHU YELLOW EDITION)

One cannot deny the power of Pikachu.

We were fortunate enough to be able to acquire some over the weekend, and upon return, this particular version of the 3DS skyrocketed, overshooting all the above aforementioned products.

Perhaps it's the rarity, or perhaps it's due to the current Pokecraze as of the Pokemon Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby release - all we know is that we've kept it at a price much lower than anyone else right now, and we plan to keep it that way until these adorable Pikachu 3DSes find a home.

And they said the New 3DS would make the 3DS obsolete...
