Ultra Blue - Hikaru Utada
It bugged me at first that Hikaru has a new sound -- more electronic trance and chillout, and less upbeat pop and rousing ballads. No doubt a bold move to break new ground, but isn\'t she selling out her J-pop soul to American commercialism reminiscent of her lukewarm Hollywood debut?

But if you look beyond the slighty jarring music you\'d find a Hikaru who has never been so honest and willing to share her thoughts, feelings and even emotional struggles. Ultra Blue is her most introspective piece of work to date, and her maturity shows as she croons about what makes her happy or depressed.

It\'s just that her newly-composed melodies do not resonate as much as her previous works, and the whole New Age trance arrangement tends to be too repetitive at times.

I am still waiting for a powerful ballad that will grab my heart more than her first mega hit, First Love.

GREAT CD
There are many good songs on this pretty cheap CD however the theme song from Kingdom Hearts 1 is NOT on this disc (the advertisement is wrong) but the CD has COLORS and is still really good at that price and it has Passion-what more can you ask for?
