My Modern Classics
I love Ultramans and this movie does not disappoint. As I read, the movie is part of bigger Ultra-N-Project, basically larger than usual Ultraman story concept, and darker one, directed toward older people. Even so, the movie\'s plot is standalone.

The plot is sweet one. The main character Maki is a fighter pilot, and his son Tsugumu likes him for that. Maki saw a silver meteor star when he was kid and dreamt to become a fighter pilot. His dream came true, but now he would like to give it up so he can spend more time with his family, as his son is ill. He met a crash accident in the air before he retired. Having strong will not to die, he encountered Ultraman..

That\'s all I can spoil. Basically, the concept and themes used for this movie are great. Father, son, family, fighter pilot, fate, humanity. The actors actresses do great jobs and the figures of Ultraman and the monster look amazing.

It is a complete standalone experience with conclusion. If older generation people\'s classics are like The Untouchables, The Sting, King Kong etc. This will be one of my classics.

The DVD case comes with pamphlets about stories of Ultra N Project. The DVD is packed with special features: Making, Scenes Explanation, Trailers, Digest, TV Spots etc.
