2 new PlayStation2™ titles released - SCPH-50000 PlayStation2™ model shipping end of this week

Two new Japanese PlayStation2™ titles have been released this week, after the Japanese Golden Week holidays:

2003-Toshi Kaimaku: Ganbare Kyuukaiou is Atlus' Nippon baseball simulation update.

In Chobits you play as an ordinary college student that finds a female robot in a trash bin. Throughout the game you must teach her to behave like a human. The game features lots of characters not in the anime and a number of mini-games will be present.

Additionally, Sony has released its updated PlayStation2 model [SCPH-50000] in Japan today, featuring Progressive Scan, DVD-R/RW & DVD+R-RW DVD playback packed into a lighter and noise reduced machine. Imports are supposed to arrive in Hong Kong until this weekend, preorders are still open for a reduced price of US$ 249 only. Prices will seem to go up slightly after release due to the supply shortage.

Available at the same time will be the new DVD Remote Controller Kit which features the new Power on/off as well as Tray open/close buttons. The price is currently set at US$ 25.90 only.
