One of the best games on the DS
Very bright and attractive presentation that complements the game fast paced and strategic gameplay. Controls are very intuitive and the game does a good job of guiding new players to the series gameplay mechanics.

The game cart is also jammed packed with numerous unlockables and several game modes outside of the single player experience. Throw in multilayer support (no WiFi however) and a map editor, this game over countless hours of game time.

Highly recommended to all DS owners, you won\'t regret it.

Not the best.
This games pretty fun at first, but pretty quick into the game it will get very frustrating and boring. And the multiplayer is pretty much useless in the fact that one game takes several hours, you\'ll rarely ever finish a game.

Best strategy war game ever!
Bought this weeks ago, and just tried it lately on my new DS LITE enamel navy =P... it\'s soooooo cool, i play with it over and over and over again.

The new battle tactics that comes with dual-strike creates for a much more complex gameplay, plus I can just tap everything on the screen... the feeling is just exhilirating!

There are lots new characters, more units and types of maps, plus wireless multiplayer gameplay (haven\'t really tried this yet coz i dont know nobody here who plays Advance Wars, -- i\'m in JAPAN!)

Anyway, u won\'t be disappointed if u decide to get this game.

Advance/Famicom Wars DS!
I\'ve really only played the first Advance Wars for the GBA, but needless to say, you don\'t need to have played the first two to thoroughly enjoy this game.

In all honesty, I\'ve never played a better war game. So many units are at your command; infantry, war planes, battleships, submarines, battle helicopters, and tanks of all sizes just to name a few. To lead each unit, you have quite a variety of commanding officers to get the job done. There is probably a CO for every personality type, giving the guarantee that everyone WILL have a favorite. Whether it\'s the hilarious \"surfer guy\" Jake, or the quite but dangerous beauty Sasha, the CO\'s of the Allied Nations are all a unique and interesting crew.

For those who don\'t know, the Advance/Famicom Wars series plays very much like the Fire Emblem series. Just strip away the RPG elements (Although Dual Strike has a new experience system that helps you grow rank), the notorious \"once your dead, your dead\" rule, and change the warfare from medieval to modern and you\'ve got yourself the workings of the Advance/Famicom Wars series.

In other words, if you love the Fire Emblem series, then you\'ll absolutely love Advance Wars. If you haven\'t, give it a try and you\'ll absolutely love it!
