description

Sota Fujimori is one of the key composers of beatnation Records, his works are featured in all sorts of BEMANI games such as DanceDanceRevolution, beatmania IIDX, pop'n music etc. Through this album, you can listen to all compositions of the artist in one go.

Sota Fujimori's main strength is his clever use of the synthesizer, this album contains all his works from his debut onwards until now, the pieces are rearranged as album versions. And to commemorate the release of his album, he has written 3 new completely new pieces for it.

As a twin CD album, the first one contains the key composer's solo works while the other carries collaborations between Fujimori and some of his close colleagues. Having his works remixed by other talented artists, you can taste a new flavor from all the familiar pieces.

SYNTH GOLD
I wasn't always a huge fan of Sota's work until just before his album came out. This is definitely a great representation of his work over the past few years and it sounds amazing. I'll agree that seeing full versions, and even remixes, of common songs such as "Look To The Sky", "Star Gate Heaven", and "Kind Lady" kind of drains the song's cool factor. If you don't already own other KONAMI albums that have these songs on them, SYNTHESIZED is a great place to start.

You can visit the Beatnation Records' website if you're curious to see what's on the remix album and even hear previews.

Very Good, but not great...
This album doesn't quite live up to Dejin K or Milestone, but it's still worth the buy. It's a little rushed if you ask me... Then again, Dejin K only came out a few months ago. There are too many filler songs that already have full versions like: Look to the Sky, Star Gate Heaven, i-revolution, and Andromeda II. Some of the new "extended versions" however, do sound more polished than the original abridged versions, like Back into the Light and Electrified. The one song that really blew me away, was Fly Above. The Remix side on the other hand, is full of surprises! A basic conclusion to this album is; it's best for those who really like Sota.
