We’re in the middle of the 2017 edition of Tokyo Game Show and during these days we’ve visited lots of booths and played with hundreds of demos!Even if Japanese games have taken a back seat to more popular western developers in recent years, we can say – without a doubt – that this year’s TGS will be marked as one of the best events for the gaming industry! We’re very happy to confirm that 2017 will be remembered as the comeback year of Japanese development, with such great titles that they have provided us – because you know, here we’re all hardcore gamers – here is to a long and exciting playing time!

HOKUTO SHINKEN – COMING SOON

After the success of the first remake, during this TGS we’ve returned in the underworld of Japanese crime with Ryu ga Gotoku: Kiwami 2. The enhanced remake of the original PS2 title comes with new battle systems, new mini-games, and new scenarios. Set in the early 80s, Kazuma Kiryu will wander in Tokyo and Osaka to prevent a brutal world between the Yakuza and Geondal (the Korean mafia).

The story of Ryu ga Gotoku: Kiwami 2 has been written by Hase Seishū, the famous novelist who also wrote the first Yakuza episode. The fans will immediately love the polished and updated version of this PS2 classic, while the “shatei”, the newcomers, will be happy to live a great adventure into the dark underground of Japan’s criminal underworld, full of endless conflicts and surprise plot twists. Immerse yourself in a shadowy world where only the strongest will survive.

This is a game you can’t refuse to play…The initiation ceremony will start on Dec. 7, 2017!

SONY PLAYSTATION PRESS CONFERENCE – COMPLETE VIDEO

Always a huge talking point and an air of anticipation for this one!  We have the complete video above so you can catch up on all the trailers as if you were there.
Some of the major title highlights outlined were Final Fantasy 9 for PS4 Japan, Gungrave announced for PSVR.
Zone of the Enders PS4 remake is along the way with full PSVR and 4K support, plus updated sound design. The final title will be Anubis: Zone of the Enders – MARS coming in Spring 2018 in Japan.
Confirmed were a Shadow of the Colossus remake, Left Alive, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT and Dragon’s Crown Pro.   confirmed for PS4 in Jan 2018.
A new virtual reality experience called Japan Studio VR Music Festival was revealed.  Even Call of Duty: WW2 appeared with a Japanese dubbed trailer and a host of PSVR titles.

DRAGONS CROWN PRO – PRE-ORDER
PlayStation 4™ (PS4™) – Japan version – Exp. to ship 25 Jan 2018

Dragon’s Crown Pro has limited information at the moment.  What we do know is that it will feature 4K resolution support with the entire soundtrack newly recorded by a live orchestra. Cross-play with the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions (as well as save data importing), and both English and Japanese voices.  Also, there is a ‘Royal Package’ edition as seen below which contains the PS4 game, Orchestra Album (3 CD’s), Orchestra Album special booklet and DLC set: Digital Art Collection.
