On the last episode of Dragon Ball Z, the Z fighters fought to save the Xenoverse but now Goku and his friends have to team up to take on a new challenge in DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ!!

Introducing the next series of Dragon Ball fighting games for this generation’s consoles. Partnering up with acclaimed fighting game developers Arc System Works of Blazblue and Guilty Gear fame, Bandai Namco Games’ next installment of DBZ fighters is looking to take a 2.5D approach. With fast-paced dynamic action and beautiful visuals using HD 2.5 sprites! Actually, the character models are rendered so well, one can be forgiven for thinking you were watching an episode of the anime itself. The game will also be taking a 3 Vs 3 format, similar to Marvel Vs Capcom, which means you’ll be able to create a dream team of your favorite Dragon Ball characters, that’s if they’re included that is.

More characters will be announced leading up to its release, and there’s a good chance more will be added on in future via DLC. But with the current roster it already looks to be shaping up to be an awesome fighting game, I mean it’s got Nappa in it!

Digital versions of the game are also available which include access to open beta testing and early unlocks for SSGSS Goku and Vegeta. A special edition of the game is also planned called the CollectorZ edition and comes with a copy of the game, a 7″ Goku Statue with exclusive “Manga Dimension” coloring, an exclusive, three art STEELBOOK boards, and all comes packages in a CollectorZ box.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be released worldwide on the PlayStation®4, Xbox ONE, and PC on January 26th, 2018, with a Japanese version of the game releasing on February 1st, 2018.
