The long wait is over Ni no Kuni fans! The adventure awaits, for you and Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, as it will be hitting US, Europe, Australia, Asia and Japan this coming March 2018. The game is developed by Level-5 and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will be launching out on all PlayStation 4™ Systems Worldwide and Windows™ PC.

Ni no Kuni is a game series project of Level-5 Inc., that has been praised as being among the best modern role-playing game. The game’s visual design, soundtrack, unique gameplay, the characters and the story are just some of the factors that lift the game’s name to the peak of its success.

The first entry for the series of the game is Ni no Kuni: Dominion of the Dark Djinn that was released on December 2010 for Nintendo DS, exclusively for Japan. Followed by Ni no Kuni Hotroit Series, it was released on December 2010 as well, but for mobile devices. Finally, Ni no Kuni was launched on PlayStation 3 in Japan on November 2011. The game was titled Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch that has an almost identical storyline to the first series.

The following year, the month of May, another mobile game has been released and was named Ni no Kuni: Daibouken Monsters. And now, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is the newest upcoming series of the game, in development for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is a role-playing game played from a third-person perspective. Players take control of Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, the protagonist of the game. Evan is a young prince of Ding Dong Dell and later on became a king when his father died. Evan was dethroned from his castle, thus, at an early age, Evan has a mission and it is to reclaim his kingdom.

Let’s get to know the protagonist of the game better.

To progress through the story, players should complete quests and linear scenarios with set objectives. The game features an open world where players can freely navigate Evan. Players can easily roam to this open world where they will encounter towns, villages, dungeons and other dangerous areas dispersed throughout the world. Upon reaching the end of one’s location, players enter the World Map and allows the players to choose a new destination.

When the confrontation of the players and enemies takes place, they enter a battle system. Players command a single human ally that allows the characters move around the battlefield manually. Players can use magical abilities, melee attacks and “Higgledies”. Higgledies are “spirits of hearts” which exist in various forms, and may embody elements. Players also use Higgledies to reach distant fields and to clear and explore dungeons. In Revenant Kingdom, players also have the power to manage and shape up the town focusing on the organization of the labor force.
