The player plays in a fictionalized world as they are sitting in front of their DOS prompt. They get a message from their friend who offers them a leaked copy of a game called superhot.exe. They claim the game must open with a crack. As they launch the game, the player comes into a series of unconnected levels via different perspectives. It’s all about killing the enemies and such.
You play as the time ticks only when you move. No health bar, no ammo drops, it’s just you. You have no weapons and anything. You must kill the enemies as you grab the weapons of the fallen enemies.
Set in the minimalist environment, the enemies are in red color while the weapons are in black while the background is in white and gray. Kill every hostile attacker who wants to attack you. Only headshots can kill the enemies, so you better aim well and test it! Of course, defeat your own best score in bullet-time and real time. Make some twist while playing the game, like complete the game without shooting just keep on dodging the bullets.
The game receives a positive reception from various reviewers as this game releases last 2016 in Windows, OS X, and Linux. It’s considered as an innovative take on the first-person shooter genre.
