Far Cry 5 has garnered a lot of attention not just because of its narrative but also the controversy that surrounds it. To start with, it pits that players against a revolutionary and apocalyptic Christian cult headed by “The Father.” The cult’s head takes control of the small Montana town.
Going back to the controversy, the announcement of Far Cry 5 was set last May 2017. During that time, coincidentally it was at the height of noteworthy ideological and political events that have been much talked about. There was the election of Donal Trump as the 45th President of the USA on the side and the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union on the other. Hence, journalists have considered Far Cry 5 as a mirror of themes involving far-right movements as well as religious fanaticism.

In response to the criticism, Dan Hay, game director of Far Cry 5, cleared himself up with his statement:
I began to get the sense that America was ready for a Far Cry. And in a year and a half, a lot has happened. All I can tell you is that—what started out looking good—when I get up in the morning and I read the news and I turn on the television and I hear what is happening across the globe and I hear what is happening in America and I hear some of the different things that are going on, I absolutely get that feeling. For 25 years I haven’t had that feeling like I did when it was the Soviets vs. the U.S. in a Cold War, and all I know is that in the last year and a half I got that feeling back like we’re riding a wave and something is going to happen. Like there’s going to be a calamity and going to be a collapse.

Far Cry 5 features an open world scenario wherein it will take you 25 hours in order to play through the main storyline. Moreover, it can also be played in co-op.

Far Cry 3, Far Cry Primal and Far Cry 5 are the best games in the series. The Graphics, Gameplay and Storyline is Amazing i cant stop playing this game.
