Last February, a confirmation for the release of an improved version for God Wars: Future Past was revealed in Famitsu magazine. And Kadokawa Games gave it a new title which is, God Wars: Nihon Shinwa Taisen. The upcoming game is expected to be launched on the PS4, PS VITA, and Switch and is aiming for a June 2018 release.

To start off, this game features a new playable character called Momotaro. Momotaro comes along with his 3 companions: dog, monkey, and a pheasant. Momotaro is a close quarters attacker, while Dog, Monkey, and Hawk, possess their own characteristics, such as focusing on buffs or debuffs.
Plus, the upcoming game adds up an exclusive playable character named, Orihime who is a shrine maiden and lives at an abandoned shrine. However, you need to fulfill some series of certain requirements to make Orihime a playable character.
Furthermore, new exciting ehancements can be seen such as, improved help function, increased battle speed, new scenarios, and more.

So what is this game all about? God Wars: Nihon Shinwa Taisen brings you to the beautiful land of Mizuho. This land is composed of three nations: Fuji, Izumo, and Hyuga. The citizens of Mizuho hated conflict, honored their ancestral spirits, and lived in harmony with nature. However, as time went by, the citizens turned into a monster. Wars are everywhere, nature was destroyed, and they began to neglect their ancestral spirits.
As a result, series of disasters hit the land of Mizuho. Calamities like flood, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions struck the land. The once peaceful community now turned into a wasteland.
So, in order to stop this nightmare, the Queen of Mizuho Tsukuyomi, sacrificed her two daughters, Sakuya and Kaguya, to the mountains and bamboo steal. After doing such cruelty, the Queen vanished.
After long thirteen years, Princess Kaguya has grown into a beautiful woman. As the story progresses, Kaguya was trapped in a riot and her childhood friend, Kintaro, came to save her.
Since then, the two decided to escape the nation of Fuji and venture across the entire Mizuho to discover what lies behind the cruel decision of their mother.
