The biggest gaming expo is closing the red curtains. E3 2018 is all about the upcoming video games for this year and the next years to come for the gaming industry. Thanks to the major gaming companies which showcased its products. Not just to the media but of course, to the target market. It’s you guys, the gaming community around the world.

If you miss the highlights of this year’s E3, without further ado, here are the highlights from the press conferences of different major gaming companies!

EA Play at E3 2018

The gaming community has mixed feelings for EA’s press conference in E3. According to IGN, EA’s press conference this year has an improvement, unlike last year. However, some of the members of the gaming group were disappointed with EA. Despite the mixed reactions from the community, EA kicked things off as they dropped the two major upcoming games: Battlefield V and Anthem.

Of course, for the World Cup fans, FIFA 19 was a bomb. This upcoming soccer game has the Champions League license. In addition, it also boasts Portugal and Madrid’s very own Cristiano Ronaldo as he takes the cover for this year’s FIFA. We cannot also disregard Madden NFL 19. It is an upcoming football game will be hitting the PS4, XONE, and PC. For the Star Wars fan, the force is with them as Star Wars Battlefront II and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order kicked on the EA’s stage. EA gave a look the future of the Star Wars franchise.

Microsoft at E3 2018

Microsoft’s press conference this year’s E3 did a great job. Especially, most of the games were exclusively for XONE which Xbox users loved the most. A lot of viewers around the world were shocked at Microsoft’s presentation maybe because Microsoft presented a lot of stuff.

Microsoft focused on its biggest game titles such as Halo Infinite and Gears of War. Fallout 76 from Bethesda Software got its world premiere on Microsoft’s press con. And, a lot of fans were waiting for the official release of Crackdown 3. Finally, Microsoft announced it way before the E3 2018. PUBG got its new trailer.  By the way, it’s coming on Q4 2018. We Happy Few also announced with a new trailer was presented.

Bethesda at E3 2018

According to Technobuffalo, Bethesda usually has a hard time at E3. But this year’s E3, Bethesda proved that the company is the #1 publisher in the world. CNET also said that Bethesda’s presentation at E3 was “one of the best E3 conferences in recent memory.”

Gamers thought the main focus of Bethesda was Fallout 76. But major game titles were announced later on. The Elder Scrolls VI, Rage 2, Doom Eternal, Fallout 76 (Well, obviously) and Bethesda also showed off the first new franchise in 25 years, Starfield.

Square Enix at E3 2018

A lot of people were disappointed on Square Enix’s press con in this year’s E3. After years of not holding a press conference, it only presented a web-only press con.

Despite these criticisms from various critiques and players, Square Enix delivered the games well. Especially the most hyped upcoming adventure game Kingdom Hearts III. It also featured big game titles such as Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Just Cause 4, Final Fantasy XIV x Monster Hunter World–to name a few.

Kingdom Hearts III received nominations and won the Best of E3 2018 choice from various critiques despite the publisher’s  E3 presentation. See it below.

Ubisoft at E3 2018

Ubisoft’s presentation in E3 was the grandest of them all. The company actually showed off its upcoming games in a grand way as possible. Especially for Just Dance 2019. They presented it with a big dancing presentation with a big dancing panda. The word “big” is such an overstatement of how they presented the game. But the crowd roared as Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey released full information.

Some big game titles from Ubisoft announced were Beyond Good & Evil 2, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Skull & Bones, The Crew 2, and etc.

Sony at E3 2018

Sony was lowkey for this year’s E3. They focused more on the deep gameplay of the announced games in E3 2017. More people focused on the upcoming The Last of Us Part II. Sony gave the gameplay on Ellie hanging with her girlfriend as she killed the guys in the dark woods. Samurai games such as Ghost of Tsushima and Nioh 2 were also announced. The curtains called off with the presentation for Spidey! Sony gave a deep overview gameplay on Spiderman.

Nintendo at E3 2018

The last presenter for this year’s E3 focused on the upcoming game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nintendo gave a 25-minute video on this game as it explained the gameplay, the features, and the roster included. Additionally, Fornite until now is free on the Nintendo e-shop. However, Sony’s blocked from moving from PS4 to Switch. With this move from Sony, the company received some backlashes from the PS4 users.

Some of the games from Nintendo were: Super Mario Party, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion and etc.

Statistics in E3 2018

Many games were obviously presented in E3 2018. And, it’s hard to know which games were leading in the social media.

Fortunately, Popbastion, Crimson Hexagon collected data for over 4.5 million posts from various social media accounts to determine the statistics from June 10-12.

Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts III takes the lead with 148k posts followed by Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Fallout 76.
