In the events of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Link awakens from a deep sleep in the Shrine of Resurrection on the Great Plateau. However, he cannot remember anything because of amnesia. A mysterious voice guides him to take the Sheikah Slate and open its doors to the outside world. This marks Link’s adventure to Hyrule. Outside the Shrine of Resurrection, he finds an Old Man who informs him that the Calamity Ganon is the source of the evil 100 years ago. He also mentions that Link must save Hyrule because the Calamity Ganon is near to set free from the Hyrule Castle. In the tragic events in the game, Link must shine upon Hyrule once again.
