The game sets in the Atlas star system. The mothership, Equinox, was ambushed by The Forgotten Legion. And because of this, Equinox is crashed on a nearby planet. The captain of the ship is kidnapped by the Legion. Grax, the leader of The Forgotten Legion, obsesses with the extinct race called the Wardens. The Wardens had left an ancient technology that might help Grax for his own multitude. Hence, a great threat is coming throughout the journey in space.
Lead the group of heroic interstellar pilots in the outer space! Mix and match pilots, hulls, wings, and weapons for your starship. Customize it and begin to go up up up in the space! Since this is a toys-in-life game, connect your custom starship to your controller as you drive your starship in Atlas. Explore the seven massive planets and space while piloting through your adventure in the exotic world of Atlas Star System. Discover new unique play style and experiment various pilot skills, weapon types, and status to make your combo be disastrous to your enemies and conquer dangerous and destructive difficulties.

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for this game during the Gamescom 2018. In the latest trailer, it gives us a closer look at the open worlds available to explore. It brings a different set of creatures, flora, and color schemes. The trailer also shares the background story of Forgotten Legion.
