Developer Gun Media and publisher Nighthawk Interactive are pleased to announce that Friday the 13th: The Game is back for some bloodier adventure this time with their upcoming two special physical editions. Presenting, Friday The 13th: The Game (Ultimate Slasher Edition) and Friday The 13th: The Game (Ultimate Slasher Collector’s Edition).
Friday The 13th: The Game (Ultimate Slasher Edition) will come with the main Friday The 13th: The Game and all available premium DLC. Also, it will include a Limited Edition game poster together with clothing and costume packs, all kill packs and emote pack.
Furthermore, the Friday The 13th: The Game (Ultimate Slasher Collector’s Edition) will also include everything from the Ultimate Slasher Edition. The only special thing about this Collector’s Edition is the NECA Part III Jason Mask. For sure, this Jason Mask will be the centerpiece of every devoted fan of this Friday The 13th: The Game collection.

Release Date & Where to Pre-order
Friday The 13th: The Game (Ultimate Slasher Edition) will be available in the US on September 25 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles, while the Europe and Australia version will get the September 28 release date for both consoles.

Who is Jason Voorhees?

If you have never played the game or watched the movie before, Jason Vorhees is the main antagonist of Friday the 13th franchise. Jason is known as an unstoppable killing machine with a mask that haunts Camp Crystal Lake and the surrounding area.
Jason was born and raised in the small town of Crystal Lake on June 13, 1946. Jason was afflicted with severe facial deformities, Hydrocephalus, an abnormally large head and mental disabilities. Due to this condition, her mother, Pamela Voorhees, kept Jason isolated from the community. Pamela didn’t enroll Jason to school and educated him at home instead. Jason respects his mother so much and he would follow through on all of her commands.
The horror in their lives all began in the summer of 1957. Pamela wasn’t able to get a babysitter for Jason, resorted to taking him to Camp Crystal Lake where she worked as a cook. Since Jason has been isolated from the community due to his condition, he experienced bullying from other kids around the area. The kids threw him out into the lake, got drowned, and his body was never found.
And that is where the revenge all started. Welcome to the cursed “Camp Blood.”
