Squad up and play the #1 Battle Royale game new big mode. Epic Games’ revealed their newest surprise in Fortnite during the Penny Arcade Expo stream this year. And mind you, this is a limited-time mode for Fortnite that has a new creative concept that has not seen in the franchise before.

Presenting, the ‘High Stakes’ event. This new big mode of Fortnite successfully hit the consoles yesterday, September 6. The High Stakes consists of three important elements: The Getaway LTM, Wild Card Outfit, and the High Stakes challenges.

First off, gather your crew and get yourselves ready for the heart-pumping challenge in the new Getaway LTM. It is a squad-based mode where you and your team must locate one of the four safes scattered on the island. Every four safes held the most important thing that you need in this challenge, the huge jewel.

What you need to do is to locate the safe, pick up the jewel, and get away with it while battling foes.

But it is not an easy job, buddy. You must protect the jewel with all cost because you’ll be needing it to escape. The first four teams to make their way to the van with the jewel and get away wins.

Epic Games showed the early footage of the mode during Fortnite’s PAX segment, where you can see a team locating the safe while battling with enemies.

Now, are you up for the job? Gather your squad and take on the challenge. Plan your most effective strategy to escape with the goods to unlock rewards. Also, you can earn cosmetics items in-game. But, you have to complete first the following High Stakes challenges.

• Play 10 matches of The Getaway – Get 5,000 XP
• Do 500 damage to Jewel carrying opponents – Unlock the Suited Up Spray
• Pick up a Jewel in 5 different matches of The Getaway LTM – Unlock the Cash Flow Contrail
• Complete all 3 Challenges – Unlock the Crowbar Pickaxe

Do you think you can pass through all those hurdles? Help yourself up with the right gear for a dangerous job like this. Get the Wildcard outfit which comes with four customizable faceplates. The Wildcard outfit will be periodically featured in the store.
