Originally, Jake Hunter Detective Story: Ghost of Dusk was released for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan by Arc System Works. And now, Aksys Games got the publishing rights to localize the game and bring it to the West.
The company describes the game:
A homeless man’s accidental death draws hard-nosed detective Jake Hunter into the shadow of a mysterious mansion—but all is not as it appears at the seemingly innocuous crime scene, and Jake can’t shake the hunch that something is amiss. With the help of an old friend, Jake works to get to the bottom of the crime and uncover the true culprit’s identity. But when the mansion’s owner comes to Jake with a new proposal, things take a turn for the bizarre as dark secrets are forced from the shadows. Now, it’s up to Jake to track down the source of the madness.
Immerse yourself in the rough world of Jake Hunter populated by dual characters, mysterious allies and supernatural creatures. Let your inner detective skills do its thing to uncover the dark mystery that is lurking within the shadows. Search for clues, interrogate suspects, and investigate the crime scene to unfold the absolute truth.
In addition, you must use your detective skills to unlock passwords that are hidden throughout the game. These passwords will help you to arrive in the new world of side stories, bonus features, and more!
