Days Gone was originally announced at the 2016’s E3. And it has been confirmed that this game has been in development by SIE Bend Studio since 2015. Finally, last June, before the E3 2018 kicks off, the developer announced the official release date for the game. So, PS4 players, if you have missed it, the release date for this game is on February 22, 2019. Don’t forget to mark those dates as your survival zombie adventure begins on that day!

Game Overview

This game will take you to the open world of Pacific Northwest. It is an action-adventure/survival horror game that puts you in the shoes of a man named Deacon St. John. Deacon is a mercenary and motorcycle club officer. The game takes place two years after a global pandemic transpired which killed almost all of humanity.

And what’s even more disturbing is that millions of others were turned into “Freakers.” Freakers are mindless zombie-like creatures and animals that are rapidly emerging. They have become violent creatures that are seen in every corner of the Pacific Northwest.

And now that Deacon is trapped in this deadly situation, he must fight for his survival amid a zombie pandemic. And it will be very tough for him as the zombie-like humans tend to travel in fast-moving hordes just like the zombies in World War Z.

Furthermore, Sony is pitching that Days Gone is a narrative-driven game, with a heavy emphasis on the “golden path” rather than a load of side quests that are seen on other open-world games. Well, based on this and the new gameplay trailer from the TGS 2018, Days Gone is not your average everyday zombie game.
