Last September, it was revealed via the Nintendo Direct that gamers can hold an empire right in the palm of their hands as 2K Games‘ Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is heading to Switch this 2018. The Western and Asian players can enjoy the game first on November 16th, while Japanese gamers will have to wait until December 6 to build their civilization.

For those who may not know, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is an award-winning game created by the legendary Canadian-American designer, Sidney K. Meier, or also known as Sid Meier.
The game was originally released on Windows PC and received plenty of accolades. That includes “Best Strategy game” in The Game Awards and DICE Awards last 2016.
Game Overview
Civilization is a turn-based strategy game where your ultimate mission is to build your own empire to stand the test of time. Become the Ruler of the World by establishing and governing the civilization from the Stone Age to the Post-modern age.
Explore a new land, study technology, defeat your enemies, and go head-to-head with history’s most renowned leaders as you strive to raise the grandest civilization in world’s history.
And now, players can build the empire of their dreams wherever and whenever they want with the Nintendo Switch version. The Switch port will be the improved version of this game. It will incorporate all the latest updates and improvements, as well as four extra content packs including Vikings, Poland, Australia, and Persian and Macedon Civilization and Scenario packs.
In addition, there are 24 different leaders from World History that will be included such as Cleopatra, Trajan, Hojo Tokimune and many more. And of course, the game will feature four-player local co-op and competitive multiplayer.
