Bandai Namco has announced that the shipments for Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition have surpassed 500,000 units worldwide. It was announced on the Tales Channel Plus Official Twitter account. As of the moment, only the Japanese sales chart has data on the sales of this game. The PS4 has 53,994 while the Switch has 31,186 in sales. That means, roughly 17% of sales came from this mother country which is Japan. Bandai Namco has released a set of four wallpapers for free to commemorate the shipment milestone.
For the overview of the game, sets in the world of the Terca Lumireis, where an energy source called blastia supply all the needs in the cities. The game follows Yuri Lowell, a resident in the Lower Quarter of Zaphia and a former Imperial Knight. He accepts a mission to find the stolen Blastia Core that is used to regulate and to supply water in his neighborhood. However, this mission starts Yuri to befriending a variety of characters, traveling into the majestic and exotic places, and of course, being in the middle of a treacherous plot which might lead to the destruction of the entire planet.
