In August 2016, a fighting game has dominated the gaming world. Developed by SNK, The King of Fighters XIV was released exclusively for PlayStation 4. Atlus USA and Deep Silver got the publishing rights for the game in North America and Europe. This is the fourteenth and the latest in The King of Fighters series. Plus this is one of the main featured tournament games at EVO JAPAN 2019 so play along!
It was announced in 2014 that the SNK’s CEO announced that the company started to design video games under its company. This game was directed by Yasuyuki Oda who worked on Street Fighter IV. Then, in SCEJA Press Conference 2015, it was introduced around the world that this fighting game will dominate.
The King of Fighters XIV takes place a few years after the last tournament which is The King of Fighters XIII. A Russian billionaire Antonov buys the rights of the King of Fighters franchise in order to make a new tournament with a mixture of the veterans and new fighters. However, in the near end of the fighting game, the fighters must confront Verse, a strange and threatening entity.
This fighting game features 50 fighters with 31 returning fighters with full 3D graphics that is evident in the predecessors of the game. Of course, this game is now enhanced version. Which means, the update for The King of Fighters XIV is in a whole new dimension. The 50 characters are now available since launch. Play with your friends up to 12 players via Online Mode. The classic three versus three battle mode is unchanged. So that means, the fans of this fighting game will still enjoy it especially to the hardcore fans.
