The Compati Hero (コンパチヒーロー ) is a series which melt super robots and tokusatsu heroes gathering them in a large number of different adventures and genres such as sumo simulations, pinballs, dodge balls, racing games, and many other ones. Since 1990 more than 30 Compati games have been released for Famicom, Super Famicom, Game Boy, Game Cube, Dreamcast, and PlayStation systems. Introducing a roster of original characters like Fighter Roar, Emi, Great Kaminarimon, and the cyber-villain known as Dark Brain; this SD-style series is still today very popular among the lovers and connoisseurs of Japanese pop-culture.

Created by Banpresto from a rib of it; Super Robot Wars (スーパーロボット大戦) is a multiplatform series of tactical-RPG games which assemble the greatest robots ever appeared in the manga and anime industry. The first episode has been released on April 20, 1991, for Game Boy. It sees 10 different incarnations from Mazinger, Getter Robo, and MS Gundam franchises save the universe from Gilgilgan, the bio-organic demon seen in Great Mazinger vs. Getter Robo.

Since then, a very large number of SRW chapters (MORE THAN 70!!!) made millions of earthlings very happy. Some of them are standalone episodes; while some others are included in specific sub-series which tell the main story from different point of views.
Classic, Masō Kishin, Alpha, Compact, Impact, Original Generation, and Z are the seven main continuities who helped the series to become an ultra-pop multimedia project which includes also manga, anime, CD dramas, books & model kits.

Despite SRW is very well known, so far only a few episodes reached western countries, but luckily for all non-Japanese fans, in the last years the latest episodes including Super Robot Wars OG The Moon Dwellers, Super Robot Wars X, and Super Robot Wars V, have been translated in English.
