God of War: Wins Big at BAFTA Game Awards 2019

It’s almost a year since the official release of the mythology-based action-adventure video game, the PS4 Exclusive God of War. Kratos and his son Atreus have dominated the game awards shows from left to right last 2018. Now, another trophy collection for this PS4 Exclusive game as God of War still proves that it is the 2018 Game of the Year.
The winners of the 2019 British Academy Game Awards or BAFTA is short have been announced. Santa Monica‘s pride as a game developer has risen again as God of War has rounded out another trophy haul on the said game awards. This PS4 Exclusive action-adventure game has earned five awards including Best Game, Best Music, Best Narrative, Best Audio Achievement, and Best Performer. Other notable award winners are Return of the Obra Dinn for Best Artistic Achievement and Best Game Design, Fornite for Best Evolving Game, A Way Out for Best Multiplayer and more.
Santa Monica Studio‘s pride has been on top because God of War has won several awards. It was released on April 20, 2018, for PlayStation 4 and it’s the eighth installment in the God of War series. God of War loosely based on Norse mythology rather than the previous games based on Greek mythology.
The main protagonist Kratos, and his son Atreus, journeys to fulfill the promise of his dead second wife and Atreus’ mother. Her promise is to spread her ashes at the highest peak of the nine realms. However, Kratos is cautious about what’s his true nature especially his divine nature to his son. How would things when Atreus learns that he’s a God?
God of War received universal acclaims from the video game critics because of its narrative, world design, art direction, graphics, characters, and combat system. Because of this, this game became the best-selling game in the God of War franchise and one of the best-selling PS4 games of all time. This game has received tons of awards including Game of the Year and Best Game Direction at The Game Awards 2018, Best Action and Adventure Game at 2018’s The Independent Game Developers’ Association and Best Storytelling and PlayStation Game of the Year at the 2018 Golden Joystick Awards and more. God of War‘s trophy collection has added thanks to the BAFTA 2019 winnings.
