Marvelous Entertainment announced that the popular Harvest Moon spinoff, Rune Factory 4, will be getting its remastered edition called Rune Factory 4 Special. If you can still recall, Rune Factory 4 was first released in 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS. Now, Marvelous has decided to bring the farming and dungeon adventures to the Nintendo Switch!

But, that’s not all, the company also announced that Japan will be receiving a limited edition that will be called Rune Factory 4 Special Memorial Box.

The Memorial Box Limited Edition includes a copy of Rune Factory 4 Special base game, a stunning Special Box illustrated by Minako Iwasaki, a Rune Factory Memorial Book featuring notes and artwork from the Rune Factory series since 2006 until the present time, a double disc Kyun Secret Private CD set, and finally, a download code for the “Everyone in Swimsuits” content for the additional event in the game.

Hmm, interesting, huh?

Release Date

The standard and limited edition of Rune Factory 4 Special are confirmed for a July 25th release this year on the Nintendo Switch in Japan. Meanwhile, although it is confirmed for a Western release, its official launch date is yet to be announced. Worry not though western fans, the game is slated to release sometime this year on your regions.
