Super Robot Wars T Expansion Pack DLC Launches on June 27th!
Super Robot Wars T
PS4™ & Nintendo™ Switch – ASIA
What’s up, Super Robot Wars T enthusiasts? Bandai Namco has some exciting news for you. The company announced that Super Robot Wars T will receive two updates this June. On June 25, a new update patch to Version 1.04 of the game will be released in preparation for the upcoming paid DLC and the Expansion Pack, that will be released on June 27.
The Expansion Pack DLC will give you a new scenario to check out for some awe-inspiring Super Robot Wars T experience.
Note: As of the time of writing, the new content has been confirmed to be released on the Asia version of the game only.
What to Expect?
This DLC will add a post-game story which puts the original characters from Super Robot Wars V and X to the spotlight. More so, the new content takes place a few months after the game’s main story has ended, meaning you will have to finish the main story first before you can successfully get into the new expansion. Pilot stats, robot upgrade levels, all funds and difficulty mode will be carried over from the cleared save data except the total amount of turns and SR points.
A new Expansion Pack entry will be added to the start menu once you have successfully downloaded the new update patch to Version 1.04.
The post-game story will feature 20 new scenarios, with 14 playable scenarios in each playthrough. In addition, a new difficulty setting called Custom Rank will be featured in the new content which will determine the upgrade levels of the opponents appearing in the post-game story, which can be changed anytime at Options menu inside the Intermission.
Here are more details about the Expansion, via Siliconera.
After choosing ‘Expansion Pack’ on the title screen, and your carried over save data, you can choose the Custom Rank between Basic, Super, and Hyper, which are essentially difficulty options. This is changeable in the Options menu during Intermissions.
- Basic Custom: The basic difficulty of the Expansion Scenario, with enemy difficulty changing between Hard and Normal like in the main game. This difficulty is appropriate for those people who are carrying over a save with only one playthrough
- Super Custom: While enemy difficulty changes between Hard and Normal, enemies are overall upgraded further, and enemy pilots upgraded as well. It’s a Custom Rank difficulty for those carrying over saves with more than one playthrough on them.
- Hyper Custom: Same as Super Custom, but with even more upgraded enemies. By playing Hyper Custom alongside the Super Expert difficulty, you can experience the highest difficulty Super Robot Wars T has to offer.
After choosing your Custom Rank, you are brought to the Intermission screen, with your mecha, characters, funds, and TacP intact as of clearing the game. As usual, you can change equipped parts, upgrade the mecha, and more, and clicking ‘Next Chapter’ will bring you into the Expansion Scenario.
Bandai Namco also shared some of the screenshots of the upcoming Expansion, which can be seen below.
Note: For Nintendo Switch owners, the Expansion Pack will be available through the Hong Kong eShop.
