Originally, Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX (also known as 白き鋼鉄のXイクス THE OUT OF GUNVOLT) was only announced for the Nintendo Switch back in May 2018. After almost a year, Inti Creates announced that this action-platform game is coming not just on Nintendo Switch but also to PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.

For the first time in history, Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX will be the first game in the Gunvolt series to come to PS4 and brings back the series to PC after the 2015 release of Azure Striker Gunvolt on Steam.

Game Overview

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX brings players in the near future where a nation is facing a new era where the majority of humanity possesses superpowers. Unfortunately, those who don’t have these powers, known as “minos ” are being haunted and slaughtered.

Now, the protagonist of the game, Copen, will be the responsible individual to protect the “minos” of his world. Towards the start of his adventure, Copen meets a new character named Kohaku. Kohaku is a young lady with a bright personality who acts as the leader of the Mino children of their nation in the underground slums. She will aid Copen at his base of operations.

Of course, Lola, her robot partner, will still be there to support him in his battle. Lola has the ability to scan enemy weapons and create ‘mock’ versions of them for Copen to use against his enemies.
