After the leak last May, THQ Nordic has finally unveiled to the world that Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Back in May, Koch Media accidentally revealed the game before the official announcement. This will launch on the Switch digitally and physically on September 26th.

The Deathinitive Edition will include the base game which is the Darksiders II and all the downloadable content included which the total playtime offers more than 30 hours. Along with that, this edition also improved the Graphics Render Engine for high definition visuals specifically in terms of lighting and shadows and also improved the tuned game balancing and loot distribution.

For a brief background, Darksiders II is an action-roleplaying, hack-and-slash, action-adventure game developed by Vigil Games and published by THQ Nordic. It was first released in August 2012 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It was followed by the Wii U release in November 2012. To play this iconic game to the modern console, the remastered version is also known as the Deathinitive Edition released in 2015. Now, the Switch users will get to experience this game in September.

Play as Death who is the most feared of the legendary Four Horsemen as he goes to a journey to redeem his brother’s name. While on the journey, Death discovers an ancient grudge that might destruct all of Creation. With this, Death must stop this.
