Highlights of Gamescom 2019 – The Announcements That We Love

We’re done with another five days of adrenaline-rushing gaming action this year in Cologne, Germany as Europe’s largest annual gaming event, Gamescom 2019, finally closed its curtains last Saturday.

Although those five days may be short, the world’s largest electronic entertainment fair at least showered us with plenty of good announcements that we will look forward to this year and in the future.

Various well-known developers and publishers have gathered to keep the hype train with their respective titles by building a much stronger force through sharing fresh cinematic gameplays and trailers, giving a more in-depth look at their upcoming titles.

Plus, of course, Gamescom 2019 wouldn’t be complete without the hands-on gameplay of this year’s top titles.

Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco brought some of their critically-acclaimed titles on Gamescom 2019’s show floor booth such as the spiritual sequel to Until DawnMan of Medan, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Code Vein and RAD.

Of all the games revealed for Bandai Namco, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot looks like a pretty satisfying game for every Dragon Ball fans. The new gameplay trailer that was released featured Gohan’s participation in the Cell Saga together with a look at the different activities and quests that players can engage with Goku. More importantly, the company unveiled that a brand new character who is a previously unseen Ginyu Force member will be seen in the upcoming game.

Activision

Although Activision abstained from hosting a press conference this year, they still shared Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as a playable game on the PlayStation stand for everyone in the event.

Sony

Sony is also one of the publishers that skipped on holding a press conference at Gamescom 2019. But, just like Activision, PlayStation has a huge booth on the event’s show floor.

And as we all know, Death Stranding is PlayStation’s star this year and three new trailers for the game were revealed during Gamescom 2019’s Opening Night Live show.

Private Division

Private Division is a newborn publisher in the business. But, mind you, they are already building a pretty name in the industry with their great line-up of upcoming games.

One of these is The Outer Worlds which is a new single-player first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division. Plus, a new spaceship building game with a lot of humor was announced during the event – Kerbal Space Program 2.
