The two iconic game characters of all time, Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog, will be together once again for the sixth installment into the Mario & Sonic series. Sega will bring Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games: Tokyo 2020 to the Nintendo Switch. The release dates according to regions are as follow: November 1 in Japan and Asia (Asia Version is available in Multi-language options), November 5 in North America and November 8 in Europe. As you all know, the 2020 Summer Olympics or as the Games of the XXXII Olympiad will be held in Tokyo from July 24 to August 9, 2020. With this, Sega secured the license from the International Olympic Committee to release this upcoming sports video game.
Go for the win! Get your competitive soul to compete in the action-packed sports games. Choose your favorite sports which are suitable for summer. There are four new events included in Tokyo 2020 such as skateboarding, karate, surfing, and sport climbing. Let the battle begins as you play in plenty of ways including button play and the motion controls in the multiplayer game modes. Play up to four local players and eight online players. Pick from the iconic game characters from Mario and Sonic such as Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Tails, Yoshi, Amy Rose, Waluigi, Dr. Eggman, and many more!
If you want to go back to the retro classics, no need to worry, folks because Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games: Tokyo 2020 will travel you back in time to the 1964 Summer Olympics as you can choose your 2D graphics for the 8-bit and 16-bit version of Nintendo and Sega characters.
