Created by Leaf in 2002 the multimedia project Utawarerumono, is one of the most acclaimed IPs both in Japan and abroad. All began with an eroge visual novel for PC; in which a mysterious masked man finds himself in a forest suffering from a fatal wound. He has lost his memories, and the peaceful people of the near village of Eruru help him not only giving him a place to stay, but also a new identity, Hakuoro. To return their kindness, Hakuoro helped them by farming and harvesting crops and doing many other big and small favors. However, this tiny village is under the ironclad rule of a greedy daimyo who wanted to take all of the crops you have worked so hard to harvest as taxes. So, as a modern Robin Hood; he inspired the villagers to rise against the lord…
Due to its huge number of copies sold, this beloved chapter has been ported also on PlayStation 2, and PSP, while from last April an enhanced remake is available also for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. But this was only the beginning; during its life cycle, the Utawarerumono series receive several adaptations with manga, and anime series, four drama CDs, a web-radio show, and above all three video games…until today!

Finally, the fourth episode of this saga is out exclusively for PS4: Utawarerumono Zan. And this time things are a lot different from the past because, with this new title, the series abandoned the traditional tactical visual novel genre for a brand new hyper-fast action genre! Including the superstars from Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen and Utawarerumono: Futari no Hakuoro (for a total of 12 characters) in this 4-vs-thousand action game you will be catapulted in the events occurred between the first and the second game of the series. This one offers you a proper hack ‘n slash extravaganza (in pure Musou-style) that will crush even the toughest army you have ever seen in any Utawarerumono game!

Proceeding through its exciting story; you will unlock additional playable heroes. They will reveal new useful information and hints about the relationships between the various characters.
