If you’re humming this verse; probably you know who Keita Takahashi is. Globally renowned as one of the most creative personalities in the game developing universe, he’s not just an extremely talented creator of binary worlds, but also an all-around artist which has worked on several projects including the design for the new children playground area at Woodthorpe, Nottinghamshire.
His unconventional touch has started to be popular in 2004 when the first Katamari Damacy has been released for PS2; including tiny sushi dishes, big sumo wrestlers, and huge galaxies, this puzzle-action game has been praised by hundreds of thousands of people located to the four corners of the earth. One day, while he was playing with his two years old son, when he was struck by a brilliant idea; what if all the toys are living beings strictly connected to each other? If would be true, this hidden world surely would be a wonderful place to discover…working day and night on this concept; Keita Takahashi started to develop a new kind of game in which is eclectic taste is even more visible.
This can be seen primarily from the title; in fact, Wattam is the union of two words: the Japanese term Wa (和) which means “harmony”, and the Tamil term Vattam (வட்டம்) which means “circle”.
Starring the green cube known as Mayor; this extremely colorful & carefree indie game sees him play around in the company of hundreds of cute living objects that vary from robust trees to soft beach balls passing through sushi, apples, flowers, and…poos!!!
Obviously, the Mayor needs your help to explore this wacky world far and wide; walk, talk, dance, climb, float & explode, in Wattam for PlayStation 4 nothing is as it seems.
